Tiyang Basadi Home Base Care is a Non-Profit Organization

Tiyang Basadi Home Base Care is a non-profit organization established in 2008 with the firm purpose of providing healthcare solutions, advocacy, community activism, and support to destitute communities in the Ekurhuleni South District. Founded by Albertina Noshoshi, who personally experienced the challenges of growing up in Katlehong under difficult socio-economic conditions, the organization is resolute in its mission to identify loopholes in community development and advocate for interventions by appropriate stakeholders, including the government and private sector.

The NGO effectively provides care for people living with HIV, orphans, and distributes food parcels to poor households. They operate mobile testing centers for HIV, TB, and other chronic diseases in the communities of Katlehong, Thokoza, and Vosloorus. Additionally, they play a pivotal role in providing Covid-19 screenings at various clinics and government programs in the south of Ekurhuleni.

Our goal is to expand support initiatives to people with HIV and other chronic illnesses, orphans, child-headed households, and the poorest of the poor within communities.
